Brush Park Historic Home Renovation

Main Description
Located in the famous Brush Park District of Downtown Detroit, this once three-unit apartment complex was converted into a single family home. Originally constructed in the late 1800’s, this building is filled with rich character. The scope of work was to gut the building to it’s shell and reconstruct the inside combining industrial, class, and functionality. To top it off, we constructed a rooftop addition with a viewing deck and pergola!

Project Challenges:
The age of the home created unique complexities. From load bearing consideration to modernizing the water service, working on a home over 100 years in age will always require special attention.

Most Interesting Aspects:
Homewaiter system which brings groceries from ground level to the rooftop.
Exposed brick throughout the entire building.
